DBT

Dialectical Behavior Therapy, or DBT, is one of my favorite approaches to use in therapy, especially for people who feel overwhelmed by their emotions or stuck in patterns that are no longer working for them. It is a structured, skills-based therapy that helps you learn how to cope with distress, regulate emotions, and improve your relationships. DBT combines mindfulness with practical tools you can actually use on a daily basis. I love it because it is not just about talking through things, it is about building skills you can use for the rest of your life.

My structured DBT program follows the DBT skills training manual, guiding you through four core modules: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. Together, we'll learn and practice practical skills you can apply to managing problematic behaviors and your emotions more effectively. I also offer DBT phone coaching to help you apply skills between sessions.

Whether you're struggling with emotional dysregulation, problematic behaviors, relationship difficulties, or simply want to develop healthier coping strategies, DBT provides a practical roadmap for meaningful change.

ART

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is an evidence-based approach to treating trauma, compulsive behaviors, intrusive thoughts, and many other emotional challenges, often in fewer sessions than traditional talk therapy. ART works by helping the brain process distressing memories and sensations in a way that reduces their emotional intensity, without requiring clients to talk through all the painful details.

For clients who want to dedicate more concentrated time to their healing, I also offer ART intensives. Intensives provide the opportunity to focus more deeply on specific experiences or concerns over an extended period of time, rather than spreading the work across traditional weekly sessions. This can be especially helpful for clients who are looking for focused support or want to make space for deeper therapeutic work.

If you have tried traditional therapy and still feel stuck, ART may offer a different way forward, one that allows you to work through difficult experiences without having to relive every painful detail.
