More About ART
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is an evidence-based approach to treating trauma, compulsive behaviors, intrusive thoughts, and many other emotional challenges, often in fewer sessions than traditional talk therapy. ART works by helping the brain process distressing memories and sensations in a way that reduces their emotional intensity, without requiring clients to talk through all the painful details.
Using a combination of eye movements, guided imagery, and relaxation techniques, ART allows clients to access and reprocess traumatic or stuck experiences in a focused and effective way. Many people describe ART sessions as empowering, focused, and surprisingly gentle. You remain in control throughout the process, and together we work at a pace that feels safe and comfortable for you.
For clients who want to dedicate more concentrated time to their healing, I also offer ART intensives. Intensives provide the opportunity to focus more deeply on specific experiences or concerns over an extended period of time, rather than spreading the work across traditional weekly sessions. This can be especially helpful for clients who are looking for focused support or want to make space for deeper therapeutic work.
If you have tried traditional therapy and still feel stuck, ART may offer a different way forward—one that allows you to work through difficult experiences without having to relive every painful detail.
